Sleeps 2 with optional bell tent to sleep an additional 4 persons - now pitched up for Summer 2012
The Caban, crafted by its owner from an old hay trailer, is a great escape tucked away within Cwmllywi Uchaf farm 3 miles from Machynlleth. Inside there's a mix of vintage finds punctuated with homespun soft furnishing that results in a cosy retreat full of character and light from its large windows. Outside are miles of walking and mountain bike trails right to your front door, and a wealth of lovely countryside to explore along dedicated and waymarked routes.This includes a fantastic new 1.2km descent with sweeps and burns built by Xtreme tracks. The highest point on the farm enjoys panoramic views to the west towards Cadair Idris righ down to the estuary at Ynys Las, a view that is truly worthy of the climb up and weary limbs.
The main living area looks out onto the surrounding woodland glade and the backdrop of the Cambrian Mountain Range. There's a wood burning stove, cosy sofa together with a kitchen/dining area with a full-sized cooker, sink and storage. The cool box is located just outside the cabin.
The sleeping area is just off the living area with a King size sleeping platform with an adjoining wet room which contains a shower, basin and compost loo with hot water on demand. Bed linen and towels are provided as is a stock of wood for the wood burner.An ipod speaker dock, games and books are all within easy reach as well as some watercolours so that you can capture the sunset .You can sit outside on the decked area or gather around the fire pit on a starry night and enjoy the seclusion and tranquility of the glade.
